Why Should You Financially Support FEL?
Just as a superintendent of a school district coordinates and directs educators in a community, it is helpful to have a person who coordinates the many resources available to home educators in our area. Your donations to FEL make it possible for our President, Cory Bennett, to respond to families, the media, government, and education officials. His ability to oversee the entire network frees up others to focus on the detailed needs of local home educators in 18 East Tennessee counties.
Cory serves and equips the leaders who support home education in your local support group and community. In addition, he mentors and equips administrators who direct homeschool umbrella programs in local church related schools. FEL can only focus on helping the home educating community when it has the finances to run the ministry. Support for FEL means greater strength and stability in our present homeschool movement and helps insure strong leadership for future home educators.
Support for FEL must primarily come from individuals rather than groups. When a group of 10-50 families sends a monthly group amount it may only amount to one or two dollars per family. This method simply is not adequate to cover expenses. Therefore, we ask you to personally consider investing in FEL on a monthly basis. If each of the many hundreds of families we serve contributes $10-$25 per month to FEL we can continue to meet the needs of home educators in the Smoky Mountain area.
How Can You Invest in FEL?
Whether you are a parent or a grandparent, a homeschooler or a home education alumnus, FEL needs your financial support to continue in our ministry to your community, area, and our state.
FEL is a 501(c)(3) corporation authorized by the state of TN and the IRS to receive tax deductible donations. You can send your contribution to:
FEL 925 View Harbour Rd. Knoxville, TN 37934
After each gift you will receive a receipt and another envelope so that you can make your next monthly contribution. Your regular support will ensure that FEL will be able to assist you and others in their home education adventure. For convenience, you may want to set up automatic monthly contributions to our ministry. Check with us for availability.
Just like any ministry, FEL depends on the contributions of those who benefit from our ministry in order to continue our efforts. If each family supports a small amount monthly, thousands of home educators can be served.
As you prepare for your next year of home education, would you consider investing in FEL just as you do in your books so that we can freely minister and support your family and other home educators in East Tennessee?
